Tapas Night at Bective Stud

At Bective Stud · Balgil, Navan, Co. Meath, C15 X967

Tapas plates and candlelit table setting at Bective Stud, Navan

What to Expect

Bective Stud, just outside Navan, is best known as a countryside cafe and tea rooms attached to a working thoroughbred stud farm, but its team also runs periodic evening dining events under the Bective Tea Rooms banner, including seasonal set-menu nights such as their “Bective By Night” candlelight dinners. On Saturday 15 August 2026, the venue hosts a Tapas Night running from 5:30pm through to 11pm, a longer sitting than the venue’s usual daytime cafe hours, built around sharing plates rather than the tea rooms’ typical breakfast, brunch and bistro menu. Given the venue’s track record with themed evening dinners, expect a set-format sharing menu using the same locally sourced, Boyne Valley ingredients the kitchen uses for its daytime service, served in a more relaxed, grazing style suited to a group booking. The tea rooms sit inside Bective House, on the wider Bective Stud estate, which also includes stabling for over 50 racing thoroughbreds, a woodland walk and Val’s Garden, so arriving a little early to walk the grounds before the evening sitting is worth factoring in if weather allows. As with the venue’s other evening events, numbers are likely to be limited, so contacting Bective Stud directly to book ahead of the date is the safest approach rather than turning up on the night. The estate also offers five self-catering apartments named after its resident thoroughbreds, so an evening at the Tapas Night can be combined with a stay on site for anyone travelling from further afield.
