Community Sports Hub Navan Multi-Sport Summer Camp - Claremont Stadium

At Claremont Stadium · Claremont, Navan, Co. Meath

Children playing multi-sport at Claremont Stadium Navan

Three mornings of free sport for children aged 5 to 12, run by qualified coaches at one of Meath’s best-equipped community venues - this is a genuinely useful find for families in and around Navan in early August. The Community Sports Hub Navan camp is delivered by Meath Local Sports Partnership alongside coaches from national governing bodies including Basketball Ireland, the FAI, and Meath GAA. The focus is broad: children rotate through different sports rather than drilling one discipline, so it suits curious kids who want to try things as much as those already committed to a single sport.

What to expect

The camp runs across three consecutive mornings - Tuesday 9th to Thursday 11th August 2026 - from 10am to 12 noon each day. The format is multi-sport, with children getting time on soccer, GAA, tag rugby, cricket, rounders, Olympic handball, badminton, basketball, and fun games. The two-hour slots move quickly and the emphasis is on participation and enjoyment rather than competition. Coaches are drawn from local clubs and national bodies, so the standard of instruction is solid.

Claremont Stadium on Commons Road is a well-used community facility with a large indoor sports hall and a 400-metre athletics track. It is operated by CSG Sports Club CLG and supported by the Department of Rural and Community Development - a proper, purpose-built space rather than a temporary set-up. The venue has been running similar multi-sport camps for several years, so the format is well tested.

Pre-registration is required and places fill fast - a previous session at this same venue sold out ahead of the dates. Register through the EventMaster link before turning up.
