At Kells Printing Works · Market Street, Kells, Co. Meath
The Kells Printing Works on Market Street was officially opened by Minister Dara Calleary on 2 June 2026 following an almost decade-long restoration costing EUR 1.8 million. The Victorian-era printworks once produced four local newspapers including the Meath Chronicle, whose origins in Kells date to 1897. The restored hub offers tours, talks, printing demonstrations, exhibitions, and hands-on workshops for visitors and school groups. It operates as a creative and educational hub at the heart of Kells heritage.
