Luke Combs at Slane Castle - My Kinda Saturday Night Tour

At Slane Castle · Slane, Co. Meath

Slane Castle amphitheatre filled with concert crowds on a summer afternoon

Luke Combs makes history at Slane Castle on Saturday 18 July 2026, becoming the first country music headliner to perform at one of Ireland’s most iconic outdoor venues. His “My Kinda Saturday Night Tour” runs across two sold-out nights - 18 and 19 July - each drawing around 80,000 fans into the natural amphitheatre on the banks of the River Boyne. If you have a ticket for Saturday night, you are part of something genuinely rare: a Slane show is not a regular festival date but a one-off event that people talk about for years.

What to expect

The sloping hillside grounds of Slane Castle form a natural bowl that delivers exceptional acoustics and sightlines even deep into the crowd. Gates open in the early afternoon, with the first support act on stage from 3pm. Support across the two nights comes from The Script, Ty Myers, and The Castellows - a strong card that fills out what is typically a long, celebratory afternoon into evening. Combs himself is touring behind a run of chart-defining albums, and a Slane set is built for big, singalong moments. Bring layers - Irish summer evenings cool quickly after the sun drops behind the hill - and wear shoes you do not mind getting muddy. Under-16s must be accompanied by an adult aged 25 or over.

Getting there

Slane village sits on the N2, approximately 48km north of Dublin city centre and around 15km west of Drogheda. For a Slane concert, driving is strongly discouraged and parking inside the site is extremely limited. The standard approach is a dedicated coach service from Dublin city centre, with pick-up points also available from Drogheda, Dundalk, and Belfast. Full transport details, including official coach booking, are published at slanecastle.ie ahead of each concert date. If you are coming by car, plan for park-and-ride well outside the village and factor in significant post-show delays on the N2 corridor.

While you’re in Slane

Slane is a handsome estate village on the River Boyne, with the ruins of Slane Abbey visible on the hillside and the Battle of the Boyne site just a few kilometres downstream. For a concert visit it is largely a case of arriving, enjoying the day, and heading home afterwards - but the area rewards a longer trip if you can manage it. There is more to see in Slane and across Co. Meath.
