After Dark Halloween Event - Emerald Park

What to Expect

Emerald Park’s After Dark Halloween event returns for 2026, running on selected nights from 16th to 18th, 21st to 25th, and 26th to 31st October, giving families and groups the chance to experience the Ashbourne theme park after dark rather than during its usual daytime hours. The event lets visitors ride park favourites such as the Cu Chulainn Coaster, Endeavour and the new-for-2026 Swingosaurus after dark, alongside Dino Dash, Flight School, Air Race, Viking Voyage, The Rotator and Power Surge, all set in the Thrill Zone and Tir na nOg areas of the park, which are given over to the event for the evening. Unlike some Halloween theme park events, the park describes After Dark as a “no scare” event rather than a horror experience, meaning there are no actors, jump scares or haunted-house style attractions, just the regular rides run into the evening under lights. It is recommended for visitors aged 10 and up and suitable for those 0.95m or taller, reflecting the height restrictions on several of the featured rides, and on-ride photography is available at six of the attractions for those who want a souvenir of the night out.

• Times: 6.30pm to 10pm, with last admission at 8pm.

• Tickets are sold separately from standard daytime admission and had not gone on sale as of early August 2026; check emeraldpark.ie for release dates and pricing.

• No alcohol is permitted on site during the event.

• On-ride photography is available at six of the attractions.

• Standard daytime tickets or passes cannot be used to gain entry to this separately ticketed evening event.

Getting There

Emerald Park is on the N2 at Ashbourne, Co. Meath, roughly 30 minutes’ drive from Dublin, with on-site parking available for the evening event.
