Meath Senior Camogie Championship 2026 - Group Stage

Meath Senior Camogie Championship 2026 at Pairc Tailteann and club grounds

The Meath Senior A Camogie Championship is the county’s top club competition in the sport, running through the summer months before building to a county final at Pairc Tailteann in Navan. If you have any connection to Meath sport - family ties, a club allegiance, or simply an interest in watching fast, competitive Gaelic games - this is the kind of local championship that repays a visit. Reigning champions Na Fianna of Enfield were going for three-in-a-row across the 2024 and 2025 seasons, and the 2026 campaign sets up the question of whether any club can finally end their run.

What to expect

Group stage matches take place at club grounds across Meath. These are community occasions as much as sporting ones - the touchline crowd tends to know every player by name, and the level of play at Senior A is genuinely impressive. Camogie is played with a hurley and sliotar; the senior game is fast and physical, with county-level athletes who in many cases are also part of the Meath county setup.

The county final is the showpiece occasion. In 2024, Pairc Tailteann hosted the Senior A decider for the first time since 2005 - a signal that Meath Camogie is prioritising the county ground for its biggest day. Na Fianna have been the team to beat in recent years, facing strong competition from clubs including Killyon and Kilmessan. Fixture updates are posted on the Meath Camogie Facebook page.

Getting there

Navan is easy to reach. From Dublin, the N3 runs directly to the town, around 48km from the city centre. Bus Eireann routes connect Dublin Busaras to Navan in roughly an hour. Pairc Tailteann sits near the Mercy Convent on the edge of town, with road access off the N51 and parking available nearby. For group stage fixtures, venues vary - check the Meath Camogie social pages for exact locations before travelling.

While you’re in Navan

Navan is Meath’s county town and a handy base for the wider area, with the Hill of Tara roughly 12km south. There is more to see in Navan and across Co. Meath.
