Music Network brings fiddle, flute, guitar and voice to Garter Lane on Friday, 25 September 2026, with a lineup of Muireann Nic Amhlaoibh, Pauline Scanlon, Tom Morrow and John Doyle. All four are established names on the Irish traditional and folk circuit, and this date is part of a Music Network-organised tour bringing the quartet to venues around the country rather than a one-off local booking. Doors are at 8pm, with tickets at €20, €18 concession.
Nic Amhlaoibh and Scanlon have performed together for years as the duo Lumiere, both known individually for sean-nós and folk singing alongside flute and whistle playing; Doyle is a guitarist known for his DADGAD-tuned accompaniment work in Irish traditional music, formerly of the band Solas; Morrow brings fiddle into the mix. Together the four play a set built around traditional song and tune arrangements rather than a session-style night, in Garter Lane’s seated theatre space rather than a pub back room. Music Network, the organisation behind the tour, specialises in bringing this kind of high-level traditional and classical touring show to smaller venues around Ireland that would not otherwise get it, so the Waterford date is one stop on a wider national run.
Garter Lane is on O’Connell Street in Waterford city centre, close to Theatre Royal and a short walk from the quays. The venue sits on the city’s central bus routes, with public parking available nearby on O’Connell Street and at the Apple Market.
