What to Expect

National Heritage Week returns to County Clare from Saturday 15 to Sunday 23 August 2026 with a packed programme of free events across the county. Activities include guided heritage walks, local history talks, seaweed foraging, bat walks, butterfly identification, field trips, craft demonstrations, storytelling and exhibitions. Highlights include the Wonder Wander built heritage trail in Ennis and Ennistymon, community archaeology events, a tour of Ennis Friary, and joint programming at Craggaunowen and Bunratty Castle and Folk Park.
