National Heritage Week - Offaly

What to Expect

National Heritage Week 2026 runs across Offaly from 15-23 August with the theme “Heritage At Risk”. Community organisations, volunteers and heritage groups are registering events to celebrate and explore Offaly’s heritage. Offaly hosted 80 events for Heritage Week in 2025 (a 10% increase on 2024), showcasing the strong community participation in celebrating local heritage. Events often include open days at heritage sites, heritage talks, exhibitions and cultural activities.
