What to Expect

Living history actors play Iron Age inhabitants of Emain Macha - the legendary seat of the Ulster Kings associated with Cu Chulainn and the Ulster Cycle of tales. Guides share stories of what life would have been like at one of Ireland’s most important archaeological sites, with demonstrations and storytelling on the ancient hillfort. The Navan Centre also houses an interpretive exhibition on the site’s 4,500-year history.

Navan Centre and Fort is located at 81 Killylea Road, approximately 3 km west of Armagh city centre. Free parking on site. Shuttle bus from Armagh operates on some special event days.
