What to Expect

Carlow Brewing Company, established in 1996 and one of Ireland’s pioneer craft breweries, offers guided tours of its facility in Bagenalstown. The tour covers Ireland’s indigenous brewing history, the brewing process from start to finish, tasting of specialty malts, and smelling of hops. The tour ends with an optional tasting of award-winning O’Hara’s beers - including O’Hara’s Irish Stout, O’Hara’s Irish Red, Curim Gold, and O’Hara’s Irish Pale Ale - followed by a visit to the brewery shop. Tours run on selected Thursdays. Group bookings are also available by arrangement.
