An evening on Cork Harbour has a way of making a night out feel like more than just a night out. Popscene’s Summer Party Cruise is a 2.5-hour covered harbour cruise with a resident DJ playing 80s and 90s dancefloor classics and a bar running throughout. This is the third and final date in the 2026 series - previous runs sold out, and the August edition is the last chance to catch it this year. It suits groups well: work parties, big birthdays, or anyone looking for a step up from the usual. The ticket price covers more than the cruise itself.
The vessel departs Customs House Quay in Cork City at 6pm and spends two and a half hours crossing Cork Harbour. The boat is fully covered so the weather is not a factor. A Popscene DJ keeps things moving with throwbacks from the 80s and 90s - the kind of set that works for a mixed crowd and gets a dance floor going even on water. There is a full bar on board throughout.
After the cruise docks, a coach transfer takes guests to Popscene at Voodoo Rooms on Oliver Plunkett Street - one of Cork’s established nightlife venues. On arrival, there is complimentary party food and drinks before the club night continues. The €65 ticket covers the cruise, the coach, the food, and entry to the nightclub. Group bookings can be arranged at cruise@popscene.ie. Tickets are limited and the earlier summer dates in June and July both sold out in advance.
Customs House Quay is on the south bank of the River Lee, a short walk from Cork City centre. Cork is well served by Bus Éireann coaches from Dublin and Limerick, and Kent Station handles trains from Dublin Heuston. The coach transfer after the cruise takes guests directly to Oliver Plunkett Street, so there is no need to worry about onward transport that part of the evening. If you are driving in, city-centre car parks are available, though most people coming from outside Cork plan ahead for a taxi or a place to stay.
Cork City rewards a visit beyond the harbour. The English Market, Shandon Bells, and the walking streets around Patrick Street are all close to where the evening ends up. There is more to see in Cork and across Co. Cork.
