What to Expect

Royal Oak Distillery, located at Holloden House on an 18th-century estate in Co. Carlow, is the only independent distillery in Ireland to produce all three types of Irish whiskey - pot still, malt, and grain - in a single still house. It is among the largest manual whiskey distilleries in the country. Guided tours cover the full distilling process and finish with a guided whiskey tasting. Tours run throughout the day, seven days a week from March to October.

Getting There

Royal Oak Distillery is on the Bagenalstown Road outside Carlow Town, at Holloden House on the Dublin Road (R448 area). On-site parking available.
