What to Expect

The 55-metre Galeón Andalucía, featuring six decks and nearly 1,000 square metres of sail, arrives at Sligo Harbour. Public will be able to step aboard for self-guided tours exploring the ship’s decks, cabins, and maritime heritage. The visit honours the Spanish Armada connection to Sligo and includes the launch of the Remembering the Armada Festival 2026. Weather permitting, the vessel will pause offshore at Streedagh Beach on arrival to acknowledge the historic 1588 Spanish Armada sinkings at that location.

Getting There

Sligo Harbour is located at the riverfront in central Sligo town, accessible by foot or car from the town centre. Parking is available in the town. The harbour is on the banks of the Garavogue River.
