The first Solas Ladies Lunch takes place on Saturday, 19 September 2026 at Faithlegg House Hotel, raising funds for Solas Cancer Support Centre, which provides free support services to people affected by cancer and their families across the Waterford area. Tickets are €80, and the afternoon is built around a sit-down lunch rather than a sponsored walk or cycle, aimed at anyone who wants to support the charity over a shared table.
Guests are welcomed with a sparkling drinks reception before sitting down to a four-course lunch with wine at Faithlegg House Hotel, overlooking the Suir estuary. The afternoon includes entertainment and a raffle with a range of donated prizes, and organisers note the celebrations are expected to run on into the evening rather than wrap up promptly after dessert. Tables are sold in groups of ten, though smaller bookings are welcome and will be seated together with other guests, which makes it a workable event for anyone coming without a full table of friends or colleagues already organised. Proceeds go directly to Solas Cancer Support Centre’s free counselling, complementary therapies and support programmes for people living with cancer and their families in the region. As an inaugural event, this is the first time the lunch has run, with tickets sold through Theatre Royal Waterford’s box office system rather than directly through the charity itself.
Faithlegg House Hotel is set back from the River Suir a short drive east of Waterford city, near Cheekpoint. There is no direct bus service to the hotel, so guests are likely to need to drive or arrange a taxi from the city.
