Spice Route Supper Club at Rebel City Distillery - Cork on a Fork 2026

At Rebel City Distillery · Unit P6, Marina Commercial Park, Centre Park Road, Cork City, Co. Cork

Rebel City Distillery interior Cork City set for a supper club event

The Spice Route Supper Club pairs South Indian cooking with Cork craft gin at Rebel City Distillery, on the closing night of Cork on a Fork Fest 2026. Guest chef Christopher Braganza of The Spice Genie leads a shared-table, three-course meal shaped by the spice traditions of Kerala - the same region that supplies the botanicals at the heart of Rebel City’s Maharani Gin. The parallel is real and deliberate: you eat and drink your way through the same spice route in a single sitting. It suits anyone who loves food with genuine flavour, curious drinkers, or couples after an occasion that goes well beyond a standard restaurant booking. Numbers are intimate, so it is the kind of evening that books out.

What to expect

You arrive to a welcome gin and tonic - the house Maharani, naturally. Rebel City is housed in a renovated building in Cork’s old docklands, on the site of the former Ford car factory, with working stills visible around you. Robert and Bhagya, the husband-and-wife team behind the distillery, built Maharani Gin around botanicals from a women’s organic farming co-operative in Kerala, South India - and that backstory runs through the evening. Christopher Braganza’s three-course menu explores the same spice corridor, expect South Indian flavours handled by someone who knows them well. Stories of spice and craft distillation are woven in throughout. Over-18s only.

Getting there

Rebel City Distillery sits at Marina Commercial Park, Centre Park Road - roughly 20 minutes on foot from the city centre or a short taxi from Patrick’s Street. Cork is served by the M8 from Dublin and M20 from Limerick. Irish Rail and Bus Eireann both run into Cork Kent Station; from there it is a 25-minute walk or a quick cab. Parking is available within Marina Commercial Park.

While you’re in Cork

Cork is worth a full day on either side of the evening - the English Market, the Crawford Art Gallery, and the walks along the Lee all reward the extra time. There is more to see in Cork and across Co. Cork.
