At Holy Family Senior School · Ennis, Co. Clare
STARCAMP is one of Ireland’s longest-running performing arts summer camps, operating nationwide since 2007, and the Ennis edition runs at Holy Family Senior School with places still open for the week of 4 to 7 August, a four-day week following the August bank holiday Monday. Children aged 4 to 12 split into two groups: STARCAMP itself takes ages 4 to 8 (Junior Infants to 2nd class) through singing, hip hop dance, acting and games with a lighter touch, teddy bear picnics, superhero adventures and magic tricks, while STARCREW takes ages 8 to 12 (3rd to 6th class) into a more advanced track built around teamwork, leadership and confidence through group performances and outdoor activities. Both groups work all week toward a finale show called Starcamps Got Talent on the Friday, which gives every child, not just the confident ones, a turn in front of an audience. The environment is deliberately non-competitive, aimed at making every child feel included rather than ranked against classmates.
Ennis is well connected: the M7 and N18 bring you west from Dublin in around two and a half hours, and it is a 30-minute drive north from Limerick on the N18. Bus Éireann runs regular services from Limerick, Galway and Dublin into Station Road in the town centre. Holy Family Senior School is within the town and easy to reach by car, with parking available off O’Connell Street and along the main approach roads.
