The Tarantinos, an 11-piece band built entirely around the music from Quentin Tarantino’s films, play the Mermaid Arts Centre in Bray on Saturday 25 July 2026. Rather than covering a single artist, the band works through the eclectic soundtrack choices that run across Tarantino’s career, from surf guitar and spaghetti-western twang to soul, funk and rock and roll, the same mix of genres that made his films’ soundtracks as recognisable as the films themselves. With a full horn section and driving rhythm section, it is pitched as a live band show rather than a tribute act built around a single performer.
The show runs for around two and a half hours from 8pm, moving through the sharp suits and cinematic swagger that the band builds its identity around, with the eleven musicians covering everything from gritty funk and vintage soul to cult rock and roll. Expect a full horn section, powerhouse lead vocals and note-perfect arrangements rather than loose jamming, since the appeal of this kind of tribute show rests on getting the recognisable soundtrack cues right. Mermaid Arts Centre’s auditorium gives the band room for a proper live sound with the full horn line up, which is not always possible in a smaller pub venue, and the venue’s seated format suits an evening built around a set list rather than a standing gig.
Mermaid Arts Centre is on Main Street in Bray, close to Bray Dart and rail station on the Dublin to Greystones line. Dublin Bus and Dart services connect Bray to the city centre. Public car parking is available in Bray town centre a short walk from the venue.
