Waterford Harvest Festival runs from Friday, 4 September to Sunday, 6 September 2026 across venues in Waterford city, celebrating local food, drink and culture over a long weekend. The festival’s new home base is Ballybricken Green, reimagined as “The Old Quarter” around the historic Bull Post, where food producers, live music, storytelling and community stalls sit alongside a wider city-wide programme of ticketed dining experiences, tastings and river cruises.
The weekend mixes free public programming with ticketed signature events. On Friday evening, jazz and blues singer Mary Coughlan performs at Christ Church Cathedral, and Zanzibar Cocktail Bar hosts a comedy and canapés evening. Saturday opens with a family-friendly Yoga Breakfast at St Patrick’s Gateway Centre, followed by a guided foraging walk through the woodlands at Mount Congreve Gardens, a Global Taste Trail sampling food from six international restaurants, and a Disco Brunch cruise on the Barrow Princess. Sunday closes the festival with an Elegant Afternoon Tea cruise featuring Michelin-starred pastry chef Tom Phelan, and the Sheer Luck Holmes murder mystery dinner at Dooley’s Hotel, which is strictly for over-18s. Around these ticketed highlights, The Old Quarter at Ballybricken Green runs free family entertainment, food stalls and live music across the weekend, and Autism Friendly Waterford provides sensory facilities on site.
Events are spread across Waterford city centre, from Ballybricken Green down to the Quay, so the festival is best explored on foot. Waterford railway station and the main bus stops are within walking distance of most venues, and the river cruise events depart from the city quays.
