West Cork Model Railway Village - Open Daily Summer 2026

What to Expect

Ireland’s only model village is a fully scaled handmade recreation of the old West Cork Railway Line, complete with fully working model trains and detailed miniature reproductions of towns including Clonakilty, Bandon, Kinsale, and Dunmanway as they appeared in the 1940s. Children can follow the miniature trains, steer remote control boats, try out mini diggers, and take Road Train tours of Clonakilty town. Indoor and outdoor play areas are also available on site, along with a cafe and craft shop.

Getting There

Clonakilty is located approximately 52 km southwest of Cork City on the N71. The Model Village is off the Inchydoney Road at the edge of town.
