At Belvedere House Gardens and Park · Belvedere, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath
The Belvedere Food & Apple Festival is Belvedere House’s autumn harvest event, held across the walled gardens and parkland of the 1740 Georgian estate overlooking Lough Ennell. The day is built around local food producers and the estate’s own apple orchards, giving visitors a chance to combine the gardens’ usual walking trails and follies with a day of seasonal food stalls and harvest-themed activities.
It runs as a single-day event, distinct from the venue’s separate Halloween programme later in October, and sits alongside Belvedere’s regular summer opening, which includes guided walking tours of the gardens through to late August. Expect a mix of local food and drink producers and apple-themed stalls drawing on the estate’s own orchards, set out across the grounds in front of the house, with the option to combine the festival with a walk down to the lakeshore or through the walled garden. Because the event runs across the wider grounds rather than a single marquee, visitors can move between stalls at their own pace over the course of the day.
Belvedere House is signposted off the N52 Mullingar to Tullamore road, about 5km south of Mullingar town, with parking on site. It is a short drive from Mullingar town centre and well signposted from the main approach roads.
