At Dean Crowe Theatre · Chapel Street, Athlone, Co. Westmeath
The Coronas play two seated shows at the Dean Crowe Theatre in Athlone, on Friday, 2 October and Saturday, 3 October 2026. Billed by promoter MRK Live as “A Series of Intimate Shows,” the format strips the band’s usual arena staging back to a seated theatre room, with Danny O’Reilly, Graham Knox and Conor Egan working through two decades of material. A second night was added after the first sold quickly and went on sale separately.
Expect a set that reaches beyond the singles. The band has described the shows as pulling in new material, fan favourites and rarely played songs alongside the hits that built their following across a catalogue that stretches back to the mid-2000s. The seated format is a change from the band’s usual standing gigs and is built for a room the size of the Dean Crowe rather than an arena, so expect a closer, quieter night than a typical Coronas show. Tickets for both nights went on sale at the same time through thecoronas.net and the theatre’s own site. Doors open an hour before the 8pm start, and the venue is fully wheelchair accessible with designated parking nearby.
The Dean Crowe Theatre is on Chapel Street in Athlone town centre, a short walk from the Shannon bridge and Athlone Castle. Three public car parks sit within five minutes’ walk of the door.
Athlone straddles the River Shannon roughly midway between Dublin and Galway, with Athlone Castle and the Luan Gallery both close to Chapel Street. There is more to see in Athlone and across Co. Westmeath.
