Donegal’s Finn Harps travel to Ferrycarrig Park for a First Division meeting with Wexford FC on Friday 11 September, with a 19:45 kick off giving both sets of players and supporters a full evening’s football under lights. As of the start of August 2026, Wexford sat mid table in the First Division on 28 points from 23 games, with a squad managed by former Republic of Ireland international Stephen Elliott, who took over as men’s first team manager in November 2024. Finn Harps are one of the more established names outside the top flight, and a fixture between two provincial, community rooted clubs like these tends to be tightly contested rather than one sided.
Ferrycarrig Park itself is a purpose built ground about 7km from Wexford town, close to the N11, with a capacity of roughly 2,500 and a single covered stand holding 609 seats. The pitch is grass, there is no scoreboard, and the clubhouse in the southwest corner has a bar and restaurant that opens to supporters before and after the game. The ground sits just off the N11 a short drive north of Wexford town, reached via local roads rather than a direct motorway exit, so following signage from the Crossabeg direction is the reliable route. From Wexford town centre, a car or taxi covers the 7km in about 15 minutes; there is no direct bus service to the stadium itself.
