At The Horse & Hound Delgany · Convent Road, Delgany, Co. Wicklow, A63 DY20
The Horse & Hound in Delgany opens a new weekly comedy club on Thursday, 3 September 2026, bringing touring Irish stand-ups to the village pub every Thursday evening. The opening night is headlined by Edwin Sammon, a comedian of two decades’ standing who has supported major Irish acts and toured his own solo show internationally, alongside comedy magician Alex J Byrne and award-winning stand-up Fiona O’Mahony, with local comic Keego resident host for the club.
Each week brings a different headliner and support line-up rather than a repeat bill. Confirmed dates for the opening run include Edwin Sammon on 3 September, Joe Irish on 10 September, Aideen McQueen on 17 September and Joe Rooney on 24 September, with Keego hosting throughout. Shows run for around three hours in the pub’s function space, with a standard comedy-only ticket and an optional dinner package for anyone who wants a two-course meal and wine before the show. As a new club, expect a proper stand-up set-up: mic, stage lighting and a room laid out for comedy rather than a casual pub gig.
