What to Expect

Kids Camp ‘26 is a three-day residential camp for primary school age children at Ovoca Manor in Avoca, running from Thursday, 29 October to Saturday, 31 October 2026, registration opening at 2pm on the Thursday. Organised by Christian Churches Ireland, it combines outdoor adventure activities with worship, Bible teaching and small-group discussion over the school midterm break, giving children an overnight residential experience rather than a day camp. The 2026 theme is Diving Deep, framed by the organisers as moving past surface-level faith towards a deeper personal connection. Accommodation, meals, all activities, prizes and insurance are covered by the ticket price, and the camp is explicitly faith-focused, built around worship, Bible teaching, small-group discussion and quiet reflection alongside the outdoor programme.

Booking does not go through Eventbrite directly for individual families. Places are arranged through a child’s church kids pastor or leader, with bank transfer available for large group registrations, a 50% deposit due upfront and final payment due by 5 October 2026, so parents interested in sending a child need to go through their local church group rather than booking as an individual family.

The camp runs over the October midterm break, giving it a different rhythm to a typical summer camp, with the three days built around a mix of structured worship and teaching sessions alongside outdoor activities and small-group time. Because it is residential, children stay overnight at Ovoca Manor for the full three days rather than being collected each evening, and the organisers include insurance as part of the registration rather than as an add-on. Refunds are available up to seven days before the camp starts. Interested parents are directed to raise it with their own church’s children’s ministry rather than approaching the venue directly.
