Singer-songwriter Anthony Toner returns to the Ardhowen’s Gallery Bar on Thursday, 8 October 2026, for an intimate acoustic show built around fingerstyle guitar playing and his own catalogue of songs. It is a smaller, later booking than the theatre’s main-stage touring productions, staged in the Gallery Bar rather than the auditorium, and starts at 9pm.
Toner is known for emotionally direct songwriting and a fingerstyle guitar technique that carries the set on its own, without a backing band. The evening draws on his catalogue, including well-known pieces such as “Sailortown” and “The Road to Fivemiletown,” alongside stories from years of touring between songs. He is also using the date to introduce material from an upcoming lyrics collection supported by the Arts Council of Northern Ireland, reading some of his own lyrics alongside passages from poets he favours, plus a handful of cover versions worked into the set. Because it runs in the Gallery Bar rather than the main auditorium, the room is smaller and more conversational than a full concert booking, closer to a listening room than a theatre show. Tickets are GBP 15, considerably less than the touring tribute acts booked into the main house the same season, reflecting the more low-key format.
Ardhowen Theatre is on the Dublin Road on the edge of Enniskillen, beside Lough Erne, with parking on site. From Belfast it is roughly 90 minutes via the A4 through Dungannon, and from Dublin around two hours via the N3 through Cavan and Belturbet.
