What to Expect

The Armagh City Summer Walking Tours run Thursday to Saturday at 11am throughout summer 2026, from 18 June to 6 September. Tours depart from the main entrance of Armagh County Museum on Mall East and follow a leisurely route of approximately 1km through the city centre. The finishing point is Armagh First Presbyterian Church on Mall West.

Your guide shares facts and local anecdotes as the group moves through the city towards the Hill of Armagh, with panoramic views from the top. Armagh is one of Ireland’s oldest cities and the ecclesiastical capital of the island, with two cathedrals, a wealth of Georgian architecture and centuries of history.

Getting There

Armagh County Museum is on Mall East, close to the centre of Armagh city. The Mall is a short walk from the main bus stops on Scotch Street and English Street.
