What to Expect

Richhill’s Apple Harvest Fayre takes over The Square, Main Street and the Castle Grounds on Saturday 31 October 2026 from 10am, held on what is traditionally the last Saturday in October. The all-day event celebrates the local apple harvest and the Armagh Bramley apple, which holds Protected Geographical Indication status, with a wide range of market stalls, food producers and family activities filling the village centre. Past fayres have drawn crowds of more than 4,000 people, with a stage in the centre of the village hosting live entertainment through the day.

The Saturday fayre is the centrepiece of a wider week of Richhill events, which in past years has included cookery demonstrations, a variety show, a quiz night and Halloween-themed evenings at venues around the village, along with a Thanksgiving Service the following Sunday in the Castle Marquee. Richhill is one of several County Armagh orchard villages, and the fayre is the borough’s main public celebration of the apple harvest outside the city-centre Food and Cider Weekend in September.

Getting There

Richhill sits on the A3 between Armagh and Portadown, around 15 minutes’ drive from Armagh city centre and 10 minutes from Portadown. Ulsterbus services run through Richhill on the Armagh to Portadown route, stopping close to The Square, and on-street parking is available around the village centre, though spaces fill quickly once the fayre gets underway.
