What to Expect

Summer in the City is a free, weekly community programme running every Saturday from 20 July to 7 September 2026 in Armagh city centre, from 12 noon to 4pm. Events are based around Market Square, McCrum’s Court and outside the Market Place Theatre. The programme includes crafts, live music, dance, football, science activities, cooking for kids, cheerleading and magic. All sessions are drop-in and free.

The 29 July instalment has an “Express Yourself” theme featuring visual art, spoken word and live music. No booking is required for any of the Saturday sessions.

Getting There

Armagh city centre is served by bus from Portadown, Dungannon and Newry. Market Square is in the heart of the city, a short walk from the main bus stops on Scotch Street and English Street.
