The Blackrock Village Sunday Market runs every Sunday from 10am to 2pm in the Blackrock Village Plaza on the south side of Cork city, opposite the Cork Boat Club and looking out over the estuary. The volunteer-run market has been operating continuously since December 2007 and is credited locally with helping to regenerate the village centre into the small, well-used community hub it is today. Its position close to the water also means it pairs naturally with the walking and cycling route along the Marina toward the city centre, giving visitors a reason to linger in Blackrock rather than just passing through.

Getting There

Blackrock is on the south side of Cork city, easily reached by car via the South Ring Road or on foot and by bike along the Marina. Bus Eireann services from Cork city centre also serve Blackrock village directly.
