What to Expect

Each summer, Carlow County Library participates in the national Libraries Ireland Summer Reading Challenge. Children aged 4 to 12 sign up at any library branch, borrow books throughout July and August, and collect stickers and certificates as they read. The programme includes reading incentives, special events and workshop days at library branches across the county.

Good to Know

  • Runs July and August (registration usually opens in late June).

  • Available at Carlow Town Library, Tullow, Muinebheag and other branch libraries.

  • Free to join - children must be library members (membership is also free).

  • Special events and workshops are held throughout the summer as part of the challenge.

Getting There

Sign up at any Carlow County Library branch. The main branch is at Tullow Street, Carlow Town.
