Cork LGBT+ Pride Festival 2026

At Various venues, Cork city · Cork City, Co. Cork

Cork Pride Festival celebrations in the city

Cork LGBT+ Pride Festival is one of the most established community LGBTQ+ celebrations in Munster, running across Cork city for a full week from 25 July to 31 July 2026, with the main Community Pride Parade following on Sunday 2 August. The festival is community-organised through Cork LGBT+ Pride and draws people from across the county and beyond - it is a genuine grassroots event rather than a commercial production, with a programme built around inclusion and visibility. If you are visiting Cork in late July with family, friends, or on your own, the festival gives the city a noticeably different atmosphere for that whole stretch.

What to expect

The week features a spread of events at various venues across the city, covering social gatherings, wellness, markets, and community engagement. Pride Yoga runs on Friday 31 July from 11:30am to 12:30pm - a free, open class aimed at anyone who wants to join, not just those with a regular practice. The Marina Market on Saturday 1 August (10am to 6pm) brings together pride merchandise, community information stands, and a market atmosphere along the waterfront. The full programme is published at corkpride.com as it is confirmed, so it is worth checking in the weeks before for additional events, club nights, or arts programming that may be added.

The season finishes with the Cork Community Pride Parade on Sunday 2 August. Assembly begins at 1pm on Grand Parade, with the procession moving at 2pm. The route takes marchers through Patrick Street, along Merchant’s Quay past Parnell Place Bus Station, and continues along the quays - a well-used route through the heart of Cork. Road closures and bus diversions will be in place for the duration, so factor that in if you are driving or relying on a specific city bus route that afternoon.

Getting there

Cork city is well connected by road and rail. From Dublin, the M8 motorway runs direct; journey time is roughly two and a half hours. Irish Rail operates frequent Intercity services from Dublin Heuston to Cork Kent Station, which is about a ten-minute walk from the city centre festival area. Bus Éireann runs coaches from Dublin, Limerick, Galway, and Waterford, arriving at Parnell Place Bus Station on Merchant’s Quay - right on the parade route. Within the city, most Bus Éireann city routes serve the centre. TFI Bikes are available at stands across Cork for short hops between venues. Parking in Cork city centre is paid and limited on busy event days; using a park-and-ride or arriving by rail or bus avoids the hassle.

While you’re in Cork

Cork city has a strong food and pub culture, a covered English Market worth an hour of anyone’s time, and the nearby coast and harbour towns of Cobh and Kinsale within easy reach by road or rail. There is more to see in Cork and across Co. Cork.
