At TF Royal Hotel & Theatre · Old Westport Road, Castlebar, Co. Mayo
Country Music Night packs five established Irish country acts onto one stage at the TF Royal in Castlebar on Saturday 22 August 2026: John McNicholl, Sandy Kelly, Louise Morrissey, the David James Band and TR Dallas. It is the kind of multi-artist bill that Irish country fans travel for - each act gets a set of their own well-known material rather than a shared backing band running through covers, so the evening moves through several distinct styles across the night, from Sandy Kelly’s cabaret-honed stagecraft to TR Dallas’s honky-tonk leanings. The venue bills it as “timeless classics, lively performances, and an electric atmosphere from start to finish,” and with five names on the poster it runs long, so a Saturday night rather than a quick support-slot show. Doors open at 7pm for an 8pm start. Seating is unreserved, which for a bill this popular means arriving at doors matters if you want a seat near the front.
TF Royal is on the Old Westport Road on the edge of Castlebar, with parking on site and a multi-storey car park nearby. Castlebar sits on the N5, about two and a half hours from Dublin and an hour from Galway, and is served by Bus Eireann from Dublin, Galway, Westport and Ballina.
Castlebar’s town centre has a good mix of pubs and restaurants for a pre-show meal, and Mayo’s countryside - Croagh Patrick, Knock Shrine, Achill Island - is within an hour if you’re making a weekend of it. There is more to see in Castlebar and across Co. Mayo.
