Crowds gathering outside a cultural venue for Culture Night Cork

What to Expect

Culture Night 2026 takes place on Friday 18 September across Ireland, with Cork City and County delivering one of the largest local programmes in the country. Hundreds of venues - galleries, libraries, heritage sites, community centres, churches, studios, and outdoor spaces - open their doors for free, often staying open late. Events cover all art forms including storytelling, visual arts, creative workshops, community parades, live performances, open studios, and artist talks.

Cork County Council’s 2026 programme focuses particularly on the towns of Fermoy, Mitchelstown, Mallow, Charleville, Clonakilty, Skibbereen, Bantry, Bandon, Kinsale, Carrigaline, and Passage West, alongside Cork City. All events on the night are free and open to the public.
