The Summer Reading Challenge is an annual free reading programme for children aged 4-11 organised by Libraries NI at libraries throughout Northern Ireland, including Coleraine Library and all Co. Derry library branches. Children sign up at their local library, borrow and read books over the summer, collect stickers for each book read, and aim to complete their reading record by the time school returns. The programme helps prevent the “summer reading slide” and keeps children engaged with reading over the holidays.
Coleraine Library is on Queen Street in Coleraine town centre, within easy walking distance of the town centre and bus station.
