Bangor Drama Club, the resident company at Studio 1a, opens its production of Steven Moffat’s comedy “The Unfriend” for a four-night run from Wednesday 2 to Saturday 5 September 2026. Moffat is best known for his television writing on Doctor Who and Sherlock, and “The Unfriend” was his first stage play, a comedy about an English couple who meet an alarming woman on a cruise and cannot quite bring themselves to tell her not to visit. It has been a popular choice for amateur societies since its West End run.
As the home company at Studio 1a, Bangor Drama Club tends to give its own productions a longer run than visiting groups get, which is why this show spans four nights rather than the usual two.
