What to Expect

The National Gallery of Ireland houses one of Europe’s finest art collections, with works spanning from the Renaissance through to contemporary practice. The permanent collection includes masterpieces by Caravaggio, Rembrandt, Vermeer, Turner and leading Irish artists. Explore paintings, sculpture, prints and photographs across multiple galleries.

Good to Know

Free entry to permanent collection. Open Monday to Saturday 9:15am-5:30pm (Thursday until 8:30pm), Sunday 11am-5:30pm. Public tours available daily. The Gallery Cafe operates during opening hours. Educational talks and special exhibitions run throughout the year.

Getting There

Located at Merrion Square West, Dublin 2, adjacent to Leinster House. Walking distance from Grafton Street and St Stephen’s Green. Good bus connections and nearby car parking. Main entrance on Merrion Square West.
