The Fermanagh Beekeepers Association returns to Florence Court for its annual Honey Show on Saturday 30 and Sunday 31 August 2026, bringing the county’s beekeepers together to show off a season’s honey on the grounds of the National Trust estate near Enniskillen. It is a small, specific kind of show, built around one product, and a good stop for anyone curious about where local honey actually comes from rather than just buying a jar off a shelf.
Honey shows of this type typically judge entries across several classes: light, medium and dark honey, cut comb, beeswax blocks, and sometimes mead, with members of the association entering their own hives’ produce for comparison and judging side by side. Alongside the competitive classes there is usually a chance to taste different honeys, see equipment and observation hives, and talk to working beekeepers about the practicalities of keeping bees in a lakeland county like Fermanagh, where forage ranges from hedgerow blossom to heather on the higher ground. Because the show runs on the Florence Court estate rather than in a hall, it sits alongside the property’s walled garden, forest walks and the 18th-century mansion itself, so a visit can easily stretch into a full day rather than a quick stop at a show table.
Florence Court is about 8 miles southwest of Enniskillen, on the road toward Marble Arch Caves and the border with County Cavan. Parking is available only at Car Park 1, next to the Visitor Centre.
