Threading Memories, a new exhibition by artist Gráinne Mulligan, opens in the Siamsa Tíre gallery in Tralee on Friday, 7 August 2026 and runs through to Saturday, 19 September. It is the latest in a steady run of exhibitions through the gallery space at Siamsa Tíre, Ireland’s National Folk Theatre, which uses its foyer and gallery areas to show Kerry-connected artists alongside its main theatre programme. The show follows James Hayes’ On the Edge and In-Between, which closed at the same gallery at the start of August.
The Siamsa Tíre gallery sits inside the National Folk Theatre building in Tralee’s Town Park, and its exhibition programme runs continuously through the year, with a new show typically opening every four to six weeks. Recent exhibitions have ranged from Kerry College degree shows to work by local artist collectives and community art projects, so the gallery functions as a genuine showcase for artists connected to the county rather than a one-off event space. Threading Memories can be viewed during the venue’s normal opening hours, and visitors are welcome to call in around a theatre booking or independently of one.
