Lets Go Kids Camp - Gorey

At Creagh College · Gorey, Co. Wexford

Kids enjoying summer camp activities

A full week of structured, supervised activity for primary-school-aged children, Lets Go Kids Camp at Creagh College in Gorey runs Monday to Friday in early July. It is one of the larger providers of summer camps in Ireland, running programmes across the country since the early 2000s, and the Gorey camp sits in one of Wexford’s most well-equipped secondary school campuses. If you have a child aged five to twelve who needs something purposeful to do during the long summer break - and who will come home genuinely tired - this is a practical, well-organised option.

What to expect

The camp runs from 9:30am to 3:30pm each day, making it a full school-day length. Children are grouped by age - under-sevens (aged five to six, attending primary school) have their own tailored programme, while the main group covers ages seven to twelve. Sessions last around 40 minutes, with two supervised breaks per day. The emphasis is on taking part rather than competition: kids try out a wide range of activities across the week, learn new skills, and meet children from other schools in the area. Packed lunches and snacks need to come from home. Creagh College itself has a sports hall, hard-surface courts, full-sized pitches for GAA, rugby and soccer, and a set of basketball courts - so there is genuine space for outdoor play rather than just corridors. Counsellors are qualified and the ratio keeps groups manageable. Pricing runs to €132 for a first child, €117 for a second, and €102 for a third, with a discount available on additional camp weeks booked at the same time.

Getting there

Creagh College is on the Carnew Road in Gorey, on the northern edge of the town with on-site car parking. Gorey is easy to reach by road - it sits just off the M11/N11, roughly 90 minutes from Dublin and under 30 minutes from Wexford town. Irish Rail’s Dublin Connolly to Rosslare Europort service stops at Gorey station, which is about a ten-minute walk or short drive from the college. Drop-off and collection in term time is well-practised on this campus, so morning traffic tends to clear quickly.

While you’re in Gorey

Gorey is a lively market town with a good range of cafes and independent shops along its main street, making the school-run drop-off easy to turn into a morning out. Courtown Harbour, one of Wexford’s most popular family beaches, is a short drive east. There is more to see in Gorey and across Co. Wexford.
