The Horse and Jockey Hotel has been one of the great stopping points on the Tipperary road for well over 250 years, and on Saturday 28 June its traditional Enclosure Bar hosts a free night of live music from 9:30pm. This is exactly the kind of relaxed, unpretentious evening that a well-run Irish hotel bar does best - a proper pint, local musicians, and a crowd that ranges from hotel guests to regulars who have been coming in on a Saturday night for years. The Horse and Jockey has grown from a small roadside inn into an award-winning 4-star hotel, but the Enclosure Bar has held onto its unhurried, traditional character.
