What to Expect

Tommy Tiernan brings a brand-new stand-up show, Tommedian, to TF Royal in Castlebar on Saturday 28 November 2026, doors 7pm for an 8pm start, as part of his wider World Tour of Mayo run of county dates. Tiernan’s shows are built on his trademark loose, unscripted storytelling rather than a fixed script, with The Times calling his work “Exquisite” and the Irish Examiner praising his “wild yarns, philosophical detours.” Unlike most TF Royal comedy nights this one has reserved seating, and it is strictly an 18+ show. The performance runs phone-free, with Yondr pouches used to lock away mobile devices for the night, so expect an old-school, undistracted room where the material is genuinely new to everyone in it rather than half-seen on social media beforehand. This is one of two Mayo dates on the same tour, with Tiernan also playing Ballina Arts Centre earlier in November under a different show title.

Getting There

TF Royal sits on the Old Westport Road on the edge of Castlebar, with on-site parking and a multi-storey car park nearby. Castlebar is on the N5, roughly two and a half hours from Dublin, and is served by Bus Eireann routes from Dublin, Galway, Westport and Ballina.
