Summer Stars is the free national reading programme for children, running in all Meath public libraries from early June to the end of August. Every child who reads even one book is regarded as having completed the programme. Children can sign up at any Meath library branch - including Navan, Trim, Kells and Dunshaughlin - receive a reading card, and collect rewards. The programme is non-competitive and completely free.
