Take Me to the River is an annual public art and community engagement project organised by Solstice Arts Centre in Navan, exploring the River Boyne and its relationship with people and nature. The 2026 edition - Picnic in the Park - takes place at Bru na Boinne National Park on Sunday 23 August, 11am to 4pm. Traditional craftspeople, artists, ecologists and local historians participate in hands-on activities celebrating biodiversity, archaeology and Irish cultural heritage along the Boyne. Booking is essential but the event is free.
