The Cusack Hotel Group Family Day at Navan Racecourse on 11 July 2026 is one of the most family-friendly fixtures on the Meath racing calendar - a proper raceday that doesn’t ask children to behave like adults, and doesn’t bankrupt parents in the process.
Navan Racecourse runs a full card of flat racing on the day, and the track itself gives you a proper view of the action. The left-handed oval has a testing uphill finish that makes the last furlong worth watching every single time. Alongside the racing, there is entertainment running throughout the afternoon: face painting, bubble fun, magic shows, and interactive horse racing experiences for younger visitors. The Big Zeb Kids Room has interactive touch screens where children can explore the world of racing at their own pace, which is useful if the next race is thirty minutes away and small legs need something to do.
Navan sits roughly 50 km north-west of Dublin on the M3 motorway - about forty-five minutes by car from the city centre. The racecourse is on Proudstown Road, just north of the town. Free car parking is available on site, so driving is the straightforward option for most families coming from outside Meath. Bus Éireann runs services between Dublin and Navan town; from there the racecourse is a short taxi or arranged transfer away.
