The Rod Stewart Songbook - Rhythm of my Heart

At The Moat Theatre · The Moat Theatre, Naas, Co. Kildare

The Rod Stewart Songbook performing at Moat Theatre

If Rod Stewart’s catalogue has ever made you reach for an air microphone, this one is for you. The Rod Stewart Songbook - Rhythm of my Heart brings a full tribute to the legendary rocker’s career to the Moat Theatre in Naas on Saturday 29 August 2026. It is a two-hour show built around singalongs, energy, and a setlist that covers five decades of hits - the kind of night that suits music fans in their 40s, 50s and 60s who want to hear those songs done properly in a proper theatre setting.

What to expect

The show runs for 120 minutes with one interval and tracks Rod Stewart’s career from the raw early rock of Maggie May through the glossy pop of Do Ya Think I’m Sexy, the tenderness of The First Cut Is the Deepest, and on to the later anthems including the title track, Rhythm of my Heart. The tribute has earned repeat bookings across Ireland and is pitched firmly as a celebration - audience participation is part of the deal. Expect singing along, people on their feet by the end, and a performer who puts the showmanship of the original front and centre. The Moat Theatre’s 200-seat auditorium is an intimate space, so there is no bad seat in the house. Box office: 045 883 030.

Getting there

Naas is the county town of Kildare and sits about 30 kilometres south-west of Dublin city centre. By car it is a straightforward drive on the M7 motorway; junction 9 or 10 puts you into the town in minutes. By bus, Dublin Coach and Bus Eireann run regular services from Dublin, and the journey takes around 45 minutes to an hour depending on traffic. The town’s main car parks are a short walk from the theatre. The Moat Theatre is in the town centre itself, so arriving a little early and walking in from any of the central parks is easy enough.

While you’re in Naas

Naas has a good spread of pubs and restaurants around the main street if you want dinner before the show, and the town has a relaxed pace that makes an evening out here feel genuinely low-stress compared to heading into Dublin. There is more to see in Naas and across Co. Kildare.
