Sligo Oyster Experience - Farm Tours and Tastings

Sligo Oyster Experience runs guided oyster farm tours and tastings on Sligo Bay, operating out of WB’s Coffee House in Sligo town. Owner Aisling guides the farm tours herself, walking guests through how the oysters are farmed from seed to plate, and the experience is bookable rather than tied to a single fixed date.

What to expect

There are several ways to take part. The Farm Tour runs 1.5 hours and is priced from €60 per person, currently taking bookings through the summer season, with a Private Farm Tour option for up to 6 people at around €300 for a more personal 2-hour visit. For a sit-down option, Oyster Tasting at WB’s Coffee House runs during normal opening hours, 9:30am to 3:30pm, from €16 per person, with a choice of natural or baked oysters and no booking required, though reserving ahead is recommended. There is also an Afternoon Sea option, a 5-hour coastal twist on afternoon tea running 11:00am to 4:00pm at €55 per person, pairing Sligo Bay oysters served natural, dressed, baked and tempura-style with artisan bread and wine.

Getting there

WB’s Coffee House is at 10 Stephen Street, Abbeyquarter North, in Sligo town, an easy walk from the town centre. Farm tours depart from the coffee house and travel out to the oyster beds on Sligo Bay as part of the guided visit.
