Seamus O'Rourke in The Love Hungry Farmer

Actor and writer Seamus O’Rourke brings his touring production of John B Keane’s The Love Hungry Farmer to St Brigid’s Hall in Tubbercurry on Saturday 24 October 2026. O’Rourke, often described as a natural successor to Keane as a chronicler of rural Irish life, plays John Bosco McLane, a bachelor farmer well past what he calls his best, who has never known romance but refuses to give up the search for a wife in a community where eligible women are scarce. Doors open at 7:30pm ahead of an 8pm start, with free parking on site.
