At TBC - Armagh venue · Armagh, Co. Armagh
A week of singing, dancing, drama, magic, and performing in front of a crowd - that is what Starcamp delivers to children aged 4 to 12 every summer across Ireland. The Armagh camp runs Monday to Friday, 6 to 10 July 2026, and it is aimed squarely at kids who want to get up and perform, as well as those who have never tried it before. No experience is needed and no child is expected to be a star already. The whole point is building confidence through doing, in a non-competitive setting where every child gets a moment in the spotlight.
The camp splits into two programmes by age. Younger children (4 to 8, the Starcamp group) spend the week on singing, dancing, treasure hunts, magic, clowning, and crafts - activities pitched at keeping them moving and giggling for five solid days. Older children (8 to 12, the Starcrew group) take on group performances, outdoor games, and a behind-the-scenes look at what it takes to put a show together - from the first rehearsal right through to the stage.
Both groups work towards a performance at the end of the week. For Starcrew, that includes a Friday Jam Fest where music videos are presented. The emphasis throughout is on teamwork and fun rather than competition. All abilities are welcome; the open-door policy means children who have never stood on a stage and those with bags of performance experience can take part side by side.
Camp runs 9:00am to 2:00pm daily, with an early drop-off option from 8:45am. Children need a packed lunch, a drink, and sun cream or rain gear depending on the day. Nuts, chewing gum, and mobile phones are not permitted on site.

Armagh is one of Ireland’s oldest cities, home to two cathedrals on facing hills, the Armagh Observatory and Planetarium, and a strong tradition as the ecclesiastical capital of Ireland. If you are collecting a child at 2:00pm, there is easily time to walk The Mall or visit one of the city’s museums beforehand. There is more to see in Armagh and across Co. Armagh.
