Taste of Summer at Avoca Kilmacanogue

Avoca Kilmacanogue’s Taste of Summer returns on Saturday, 25 July 2026, a family food festival held on the grounds of the flagship Avoca store just off the N11. From 12:30pm until sunset, more than 30 artisan food producers set up alongside cookery demonstrations, food tastings and live music, with the ticket price covering a barbecue lunch and a drink for every guest. It is one of the biggest single-day food events in north Wicklow, run directly by Avoca rather than an outside promoter.

What to expect

More than 30 artisan food and drink vendors trade through the afternoon, backed up by cookery demonstrations and tastings from Avoca’s own kitchen team. The ticket price includes a barbecue lunch, plus a complimentary summer cocktail for adults and a soft drink for children. Entertainment runs all afternoon, with face painting and games for younger visitors and a live set from 1980s tribute act Spring Break, followed by a DJ into the evening. Because it takes place across Avoca’s gardens, food market and grounds rather than a single marquee, visitors can also browse the store and Garden Rooms as part of the day. Tickets are priced by age, with adults at €35 and children at €15.

Getting there

Avoca Kilmacanogue is just off the N11/M11, roughly 20 minutes south of Dublin city and a similar distance north of Wicklow town by car. There is free on-site parking. Bus services running along the N11 corridor stop close to Kilmacanogue; check current timetables before travelling.

Kilmacanogue sits at the foot of the Sugar Loaf mountain, one of the best-known hillwalks in north Wicklow, a short drive from the Avoca grounds. There is more to see in Kilmacanogue and across Co. Wicklow.
